Dr. Jim Schettler
Vice President of Student Affairs at West Coast Baptist College
I have known Justin as a student, college leader, co-laborer in ministry and a friend for the past nine years. His willingness to adapt, serve and keep a very joyful spirit will be a huge asset in starting a church. He is passionate and teachable and has always been available for those with needs. Without any reservations I ask you to consider joining with me as we support this young couple to spread The Gospel in an inner city mission field. Please Pray about helping The Neals start a church in downtown Detroit!
Dr. Mark Rasmussen
Vice President of West Coast Baptist College
It is my high honor to recommend Justin Neal and his wife as they prepare to plant Detroit Baptist Church. I have known Justin for about eight years. I had the privilege of teaching him as a student, and then Justin served on staff under my direction at West Coast Baptist College. Justin was teachable and hardworking. During his last two years, he felt the Lord leading him to the Detroit area to minister. I wholeheartedly believe that Justin will do what he believes God has led him to do. And it is his desire to not just prime a church, but to impact lives for the Lord Jesus Christ. Justin was actively soulwinning and serving in ministries like Sunday School classes and bus ministry while he was here. I believe his training will stand him in good stead as he takes this next step in the ministry.

Loomis Park Baptist Church, Jackson, MI
I have been privileged to know Pastor Justin Neal for 20 years, since he was a young man when I was an Associate Pastor at Harvest Baptist Church in New Hartford, CT. Since then, he has gone off to Bible College, married the love of his life, Joanna, surrendered himself to serve the Lord, and I am excited to hear of his desire to plant the Detroit Baptist Church.
Pastor Jason Georges
Immanuel Baptist Church, Corunna, MI
I am delighted to wholeheartedly recommend Justin Neal for his pivotal work in planting the Detroit Baptist Church. Justin and Joanna exhibit the exceptional character, spiritual depth, and strategic vision essential for establishing a thriving new ministry in an urban community currently undergoing a renaissance. This vision is crucial for multiplying worship in a community with great need. His recent experience assisting with the planting of Dearborn Baptist Church has been invaluable. This experience provided him with a concrete opportunity to practice and refine the complex skills required for successful church planting. Detroit is in critical need of more Bible-preaching churches, and I am excited to offer my full endorsement and support to the Neals as they undertake this important mission.
